Head for the Hills launches December 9th, 2022; picked up for a full podcast season after successful pilot
(TORONTO, ON – November 30th, 2022) : Story Studio Network announces today the launch of Season Two of Head for the Hills with Canadian ski ambassador host Glenn Crouter.
The winter series will drop in December 2023 with the first episode hitting the podcast feeds on Friday, December 9th.
“Glenn is a household name in Canadian ski and leisure,” says SSN’s Managing Partner and Chief Executive Producer Dave Trafford. “He’s got a weekly column in the Toronto Sun, a weekend radio segment on Newstalk 1010 in Toronto, it makes absolute sense to extend the conversation with a podcast series.”
SSN piloted the concept for a Head for the Hills show at the end of the 2021-2022 winter season with a six part-series. The mission of the show is to bring winter sports and leisure, travel and adventure to Canadians, regardless of their experience or income.
The first season saw Glenn and co-host Dave Trafford interview people like Olympian and World Cup ski champion Britt Janyk, famed World Ski Champion and former Senator Nancy Green and Canadian Ski Hall of Famer and Olympian Brian Stemmle.
“And immediately, we saw the benefit and value of this type of inspirational and fun programming,” says Erin Trafford, founder and CEO at SSN. “Glenn is a natural host. He’s engaging, he’s excited about bringing winter sports and skiing to the masses. And then within just a few weeks, eWool wanted to be involved in the project.”
